WHY THIS WATCH

Tudor has been making automatic chronograph since the 1976, when it released it's first automatic chronograph, nicknamed the "Big Block". As the name implies these were thick and heavy watches, as Tudor was still refining it's cases to accomodate the automatic rotor.

In 1995, Tudor released the 79200 series of the Tudor Oysterdate Chronographs. For this series, Tudor made the case thinner, and softer, while retaining it's highly recognizable silhouette. Also notable is replacement of the Plexi crystal with a sapphire crystal with a cyclops lens.

While Tudor used the same Valjoux 7750 for this watch, the movement is much more highly finished than it's predecessor with an engraved and gilded rotor, and polished screws.

THE LITTLE DETAILS

Watch is serial # H3XXXXX from 2002. This watch is in exceptional condition for it's age and just received a full service. The case and bracelet are showing only minor wear, around 93%. Chronograph activates and resets to zero without issues. This watch comes with the original warranty paperwork (pictured). No box. The Tudor steel bracelet will fit a 7 inch wrist.
