This is an authentic Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch ref. 145.022, powered by the legendary Calibre 861 manual-winding movement. Measuring 42MM, this reference represents one of the most important eras of the Speedmaster line and remains widely appreciated by collectors for its classic proportions and enduring vintage character.
This example was sold in 1975 and presents in good vintage condition, with wear throughout consistent with age.
The movement carries a 31 million serial, dating production to approximately 1969, while the caseback is stamped 1971. It was not uncommon for Omega during this period to produce movements first, case them later, and ultimately sell the watch several years after initial movement production.
