How Selling Your Watch to Us Works (And What to Expect)

Sell your luxury watch

A clear, pressure-free way to sell your watch, whether you’re local or out of state

Ever wondered what actually happens when you sell a luxury watch? A lot of people expect it to be complicated or high-pressure. It’s usually simpler than that.

Selling your watch to us is meant to be straightforward and fair, whether you visit us near Tysons Corner in Vienna or reach out from another state. Here’s how it works.

Step 1: Reach out

It starts with a simple conversation. If you’re thinking about selling, reach out and we’ll ask for a few clear photos of the watch: the dial, case, bracelet, and any box or papers you have. That lets us review it and give you a realistic estimate based on current market value, condition, and demand.

Step 2: Get an initial estimate

Once we’ve looked at your photos, we’ll send an estimate. It’s not a sales pitch or a placeholder, just an honest range based on what we can see and where the market is right now.

Local or out of state, we use the same valuation standards we’d apply in person. If the number makes sense to you, we move to the next step.

Step 3: Inspection, in-store or shipped securely

If you’re local, you bring the watch in for a full inspection, where we check the movement, case, bracelet, serials, and overall condition in person.

If you’re out of state, the inspection follows the same standards; only the logistics change, not the evaluation. Either way, your watch is inspected carefully with the same tools and criteria we apply to every watch we buy, so the result is accuracy rather than surprises.

Step 4: Final offer and prompt payment

After the inspection, we make a final offer. If you accept, payment goes out promptly, often same-day for in-store sellers and right after acceptance for remote ones. No long delays, no vague timelines.

A customer’s note after the sale

Local or out of state: what never changes

Fair pricing, real market value

We don’t lean on inflated listings or teaser quotes. Offers are based on real market conditions, condition, and demand, whether the watch is inspected in person or received from out of state.

No last-minute pressure

A common frustration with selling online is being nudged toward a lower offer because starting over feels harder. You shouldn’t feel pressured, and here you won’t.

Transparent, professional evaluation

Whether you’re watching the inspection in our store or trusting us from a distance, every watch is evaluated the same way: methodically, and with care.

Trust matters, especially when you’re selling a high-value timepiece.

Making a confident decision

Selling a luxury watch shouldn’t feel like a gamble. Knowing how the process works, and what to expect at each step, makes a real difference.

Local or selling from another state, the goal is the same: a clear process, fair pricing, and a sale you can feel good about from start to finish.
