The Datejust's Oyster case, waterproof and robust, houses the perpetual self-winding movement. Renowned for its versatility, the timepiece remains a symbol of prestige and timeless style.

The Rolex Datejust 16220 was introduced in 1989, replacing the reference 16030 which had been the flagship Datejust since the late 1970s. The Rolex Datejust 16220 featured some upgrades over the previous model, such as the sapphire crystal and the introduction of the 3135 movements. Both models have the same 36mm Oyster case size and stainless steel construction, but the 16220 brought in some modern enhancements that made it more appealing to contemporary buyers.

With reference 16220, the second digit '2' indicates that the watch features an engine-turned bezel. Engine turning, also known by its French term, guilloché, is a decorative method that involves mechanically engraving a complex and recurring pattern onto a material using a specific machine. While Rolex has ceased the production of engine-turned-bezels, discontinued models featuring this style can still be found in the pre-owned market. THE LITTLE DETAILS

The watch is an S series from 1993 and comes with a box and papers as pictured. The case is in overall excellent condition, with some minor surface wear, around 9/10. The jubilee bracelet is in fantastic condition, with only a very light stretch, around 8.8/10. The movement is running strong without issues and is keeping excellent time. This watch is a 60m serial number, making it a 1999 watch. The watch is in overall excellent condition with some minor wear throughout the case bracelet and bezel. The case is very clean, with only very minor wear, around 9/10. The bezel has some patina and light wear, around 8/10. The bracelet is pretty clean around 9/10. The movement is running strong and keeping excellent time, though the service history is unknown. Comes with the pictured box and manuals only. No papers.

I use the chronograph a lot, so I like having a robust and reliable Valjoux 7750 powering the watch. An overall fantastic watch for the money. Still undervalued in my opinion.

THE LITTLE DETAILS

The watch is in excellent condition with wear from normal use. Some marks and wear on the bezel, with some light fading on some of the numerals. The case has been polished in the past but still retains its edges. I'd give the bezel a 7/10, and the case an 8.5/10. The sapphire crystal and dial are flawless. The movement has zero issues and is keeping excellent time, with the Chrono resetting to zero as it should. Comes on an aftermarket strap, with the Factory Tudor Deployment Buckle. Comes with a box only.

The bracelet on this watch is what AP has become known for supremely finished and supremely comfortable. With the market price of the traditional royal oak in the stratosphere, these offshores are becoming more desirable by the day.

Vintage Heuers saw a huge spike in prices a few years ago, but have come down a ton, making this a really great value for a vintage racing watch from the late 60s.

The watch is 11XXXX from 1968. The Valjoux manual winding movement has been cleaned and oiled by our watchmaker and is running strong. The chronograph resets to zero as it should. The dial is original, with very little lume left on the indices. The case is in vintage condition, with wear throughout. The original bezel is showing some normal wear as well. Comes on an aftermarket racing strap. No box or papers.

Compared to other Top Gun models I think this is the most desirable with the two sub-registered combined into one at the top. You can tell this is an in-house movement when you activate the chronograph or wind the watch. This watch is light, comfortable, and legible enough to be an everyday tool watch for me.

The watch is from 2016 and is in overall excellent condition. The ceramic case has barely any wear and is around 9.5/10. The dark brown factory IWC strap was worn sparingly and is around an 8/10 with plenty of life left on it. The strap is affixed to a factory IWC deployment buckle. The watch is keeping excellent time and has zero mechanical issues with the chronograph resetting to zero. The watch comes with a box only, no papers.

The B25 movement incorporates a column-wheel mechanism and a vertical clutch, ensuring precision and reliability in timekeeping.

On this wrist, this watch wears true to its 42mm sizing and has a lot of weight to it due to the 15mm thickness. The copper salmon dial feels like a special treat and is pretty legible despite the busyness of the dial. The dial's got everything I could need: a full calendar and a chronograph. I can tell Breilting spent a lot of time in R&D on this movement. Everything from the full calendar to how the crown winds and the pushers activate screams quality.

THE LITTLE DETAILS

Watch was purchased in 2022 from an Authorized Breilting AD and comes with the full set of box and papers as seen in the pictures. The watch was worn only a handful of times and is in Near Mint Condition. This watch is registered and under Breitling factory warranty until 2027. The watch retails for $13,500.

WHY THIS WATCH

The Tudor Ranger was conceived in 1952, when a group of British explorers on a two-year expedition towards Greenland, tested 30 watches for TUDOR. Following the experiment, the Ranger Model was officially established in the 1960's. The model was named "Ranger" to emphasize it's ruggidness. The Ranger is the sister of the Rolex Explorer which dates back to 1953. As Tudor was designed to be a more accessible sister brand for Rolex, the Oyster Prince Ranger dates back to the mid-late '60s and it is in those models where we find the inspiration for both the modern Tudor Rangers.

The new 79950 Ranger is based on the preceding reference, the 79910 Heritage Ranger, which rain from 2014 to 2020. The 79910 was a bit of an oddball Tudor, with a 41mm steel case, a Tudor rose on the dial, and a red seconds hand. The new 79950 is more loyal to the original Ranger, albeit at 39mm. The 79950 Ranger was introduced in 2022 and is a 39mm steel field watch that measures 12mm thick and 47mm lug to lug with a brushed bezel, 20mm lugs, and a sapphire crystal up front.

This watch is powered by the Tudor Manufacture Calibre MT5402 (COSC) which is a Self-winding mechanical movement with bi-directional rotor system. This movement carries a Power reserve of approximately 70 hours

The 39mm size case feels just about right for my 6.5 inch wrist. What I love most about this watch is it's simplicity and overall legibility. The dial is uncluttered and this watch has no additional functions beyond the time. A true field watch with modern(ish) proportions, and a steller movement. Also worth noting that the rubber strap is supremely comfortable year round.

THE LITTLE DETAILS

This is a 2022 Model purchased from an Authorized Dealer. The watch is Near Mint, with only some light wear on the back of the lugs from strap changes. The rest of the case including the sides is Mint. The sapphire crystal is flawless. The strap has been worn only a few times and is 95%. This watch comes with Tudor's OEM deployment buckle. Note that the watch does not come with the metal bracelet. The watch comes with box and papers, including a 2022 stamped Warranty Card. This watch is still under Tudor Warranty for 5 years from August 2022. The warranty is a fully transferable guarantee with no registration or periodic maintenance checks required.

WHY THIS WATCH

Many see the Cartier Santos, which was introduced by Louis Cartier in 1904, as the first purpose designed men’s wrist watch. The Santos had a very revolutionary asthetic at the time it was released, with it's square case and visible screws on the bezel, it had a downrigth industrial look, during an era where that wasn't popular. Do these design elements remind you of anything? 70 years later Gerald Genta would borrow some of these design elements for the Audemars Piquet Royal Oak, a legendary watch in it's own right. The Santos has remained a mainstay in Cartier’s collection ever since its introduction more than a century ago.

This particular example is a Santos Carree from the 1980's. It measures 29mm across, and I would say it wears like a 36-38mm watch. On the wrist this watch exudes a 1980's Neo-Vintage vibe that I love. The watch falls beautifully around the wrist due to the integrated bracelet. I love how the explosed screws in the bracelet are arranged erradictly. This is very comfortable and versatile every piece that I can compare to a Rolex reference 1603. Jeans and brunch, coctail hour, business dinner, this watch just feels right at home almost anywhere.

THE LITTLE DETAILS

Watch is from the 1980's and is in overall excellent condition, with some light wear on the case and bracelet. I would give the case a 9/10, with most of the wear being on the gold bezel. The bracelet is in excellent shape, having received a light polish, around 9/10 as well. The watch recenetly received a full overhaul and service by a watchmaker, and is keeping excellent time. The watch comes with box only, no papers. Please note the box is authentic Cartier but belongs to a different model.
