WHY THIS WATCH

When it was introduced in the 1940's the Breliting Premier was one of the first Breitling models made purely for civilians. The Premier model was different than the usual tool models Breitling churn out for aviatiors and divers. "Instruments for Professionals" has always been Breitling's slogan. The Premier was the first Breitling model dedicated to everyday elegance. Georges Kern, the company’s CEO, says it best: “This is the first modern Breitling collection dedicated to everyday elegance. With outstanding quality and performance, these watches bear our unmistakable brand DNA, but they have been created with a focus on style that beautifully complements their purpose”.

Among the chronographs, the Premier B01 42 is the flagship watch in the collection and is powered by Breitling’s in-house B01 chronograph calibre, which has 70 hours of power reserve. This particular watch is the Bentley Mode, and shows off a beautiful British Racing Green colour on the dial. The watch is 42mm in diameter and 13.8mm thick, 49.7mm lug to lug with 22mm spacing between the lugs. The bracelet is the classic 7 link all polished Breitling bracelet. Dial side we have that beautiful green dial, showing off two indices, one for a running seconds and one 30 minute counter.

One the wrist I would say this watch wears large, but retains comfort due to the reasonable lug to lug and the comfortable bracelet. It's big enough where you'll always know it's there, but not so big that it bothers your wrist. I don't think i could pull this watch off on a strap due to the thickness. I love the shade of green used on the dial. It's dark green or olive green depending on the lighting. The in-house B01 chronograph is a pleasure to activate. You can tell a lot of work went into these in-house movements. I would say this is a great all around Breitling sports watch, that could be worn in multiple settings, and is not too large, or too sporty unlike a lot of Breilting's other offerings.

THE LITTLE DETAILS

Watch was purchased from an Authorized Breilting Dealer in 2020, was registered with Breitling, and is under Warranty until 2025. The watch is in overall Near Mint Condition, with minor wear, mostly on the deployment clasp (see pics). The watch comes with the full set of Box and Papers, including warranty card and extra links.
