WHY THIS WATCH

The Tudor Black Bay 79230B, part of Tudor's esteemed Black Bay heritage line, was introduced as a celebration of Tudor's historical ties to diving watches dating back to 1954. This model, unveiled in the mid-2010s, is special for its homage to the distinctive aesthetic and functional elements that have defined Tudor's dive watches over the decades. The 79230B features a stainless steel case with a 41mm diameter, housing Tudor's in-house Caliber MT5602 movement, known for its robustness and a 70-hour power reserve. What sets the 79230B apart is its striking blue bezel, which pays tribute to Tudor's vintage dive watches from the 1970s, often referred to as "Blue Snowflakes" due to their unique hand design. This model combines the practical requirements of a professional dive watch, such as water resistance up to 200 meters and a unidirectional rotatable bezel, with a nostalgic yet timeless design, making it a popular choice for watch enthusiasts who appreciate both the heritage and contemporary innovation of the Tudor brand.
